Thanks to Hostess with the Mostess for this great DIY tutorial on "treat cones."
Ingredients:
Gift Wrap or Decorative Paper
Lollipop Sticks
Craft Styrofoam Sheets (approx. 1" thick)
Tray or Shallow Vase Container
Candy/Treats for the cones
Candy/Treats to cover styrofoam
Tape
Glue Stick

Scissors

Directions:
1. Download or create cone template: Hostess Blog.
2. Trace template onto paper, cut out, repeat as necessary.
3. Roll paper into cone shape, leaving a hole in the bottom for the lollipop stick.
4. Secure with tape on the inside. Use glue on outside seam.
5. Cut a piece of styrofoam to securely fit your container.

6. Insert lollipop sticks into foam with a few inches between.
7. Pour treat around sticks until styrofoam is covered.
8. Fill each cone with chosen treat and slide onto sticks.

The use for these cones, doesn't have to stop there! Carry the theme throughout your wedding or event and use them in other ways too...

Flower cones are perfect for weddings! Hang them on pews or chairs as aisle markers, hang them on the backs of the bride & groom's chairs, or use them as you see in this photo and hang them on the doorknobs. Simple and beautiful!
The construction for flower cones is slightly different to account for the ability to hang them. See these DIY instructions from Martha Stewart.

The most common place you see cones is to hold the tossing petals. Play with the construction of these by using a patterned paper (think damask print or french book pages) or personalizing it for your wedding or event.
